It was announced this week that our Diocesan areas are being re-arranged into four from the current three episcopal areas. From September St. John’s will be in an area that runs North-South including the local government areas of Nillumbik, Hume, Whittlesea; Banyule, Darebin, Merri-bek; Melbourne, Yarra, Port Philip. Changing of the guard
Archbishop Ric has asked our area bishop, Genieve Blackwell, to oversee the episcopal area of Oodthenong now that Bishop Brad Billings is beginning as Archbishop of Adelaide on 7/3. Bishop Alison Taylor will return (again) from retirement to oversee our area of Marmingatha for an interim period.
