We are getting into a teaching series on Paul’s letter to the Galatian Christians. At the heart of the letter, are questions that still deeply concern us, questions such as: Why do we believe at all? What rational basis is required to justify any world view or faith commitment? How do I judge myself and how do other people judge me? Which voices of right and wrong do I listen to and why? How does grace work in a world based on worth or, at least the appearance of worth?
The series (with a break for Pentecost and Trintiy Sundays) is:
- Why do we believe anything? (Galatians 1. 19/4)
- Does anything I do matter? (Galatians 2. 26/4)
- The voices we listen to (Galatians 3. 3/5)
- The war we have with ourselves (Galatians 3. 10/5)
- Choosing to grow up (Galatians 4. 17/5)
- Freedom is never simple (Galatians 5. 7/6)
- Repair each other gently (Galatians 6. 14/6)
