Like many of the stories in John’s book, Jesus turns what happens at his resurrection BBQ into a lived parable. This time the parable is about what will happen after his resurrection, when Jesus is no longer with his disciples and they face continuing Jesus’ work but without his physical presence. At one level, this chapter is a condensed version of the book of Acts where we are asked to; turn from our wrongs, entrust ourselves to this Jesus, get on with the work of feeding his sheep, leave to God the diversity and calling of others, and follow Jesus until the end. Join us for worship at 10 am this Sunday 7th of April as we worship God and consider these things more closely.
