It has taken us some time to set this up, and we admit, we are a bit nervous about leaving the foyer of our church open to the public for prayer during the day. Sure, we’ve had to put in security things and be mindful that the many people using the site are kept safe. But, one reason local churches exist is as a resource to their communities – not only for community events, but for quiet, for reflection, tears, and prayer. They were designed to be places where we could learn and practise reverence, a neglected skill for many of us. So, from 9 am to around dusk each day of Lent, St. John’s is open to West Brunswick. There are prayer books and Bibles for you to use, Bibles and other materials you can take home, and a feedback book so you can let us know what works, what needs work, or what you want others to pray for.
May you see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 23:13)
