Please pray for those fighting and dealing with the aftermath of fire. Lord, we pray for those grieving, those in shock or anger, those who will try to steal from properties, those whose anxiety is testing their relationships. Please confine the anxieties of our hearts, the adrenaline in our bodies, and help us to rest in you. We pray for the police, emergency services, insurance assessors, counsellors and chaplains that they will have wisdom, patience and stamina to sustain them long after the fires have left our headlines.
