Trust in science has taken a hit. This might be partly because of too many dodgy research papers, partly on science being used in to justify speculative ideas, partly on the relativism of our times where left and right don’t cope with the complex and exploratory nature of truth and insist on simple ideals instead. Which brings us to Christianity, the birth place of modern science. The general belief is that science and Christianity are incompatible and evolutionary ideas are often used to justify this belief.
