Does the natural world point beyond itself to a creator or does it simply proclaim its own glory? This debate has spanned millennia, yet in our time we know that that bulk of what makes up the cosmos is largely unknown to us. That the universe depends on things or forces we do not yet understand. Perhaps this is why, in my experience, it is as difficult to find thorough-going atheists amongst farmers, gardeners or the lovers and defenders of nature as it is to find lovers of music who have not experienced transcendence. These are the themes our guest speaker, Dr. Chris Mulherin from iscast.org.au, will be opening up for us this week at our 10am Sunday prayer and praise service. Chris will also be available for a Q&A after the service.
