Dear friends,

It is with sadness but also joy on this Easter eve that I write to let you know of the passing of our sister Christina Dongalen.

As you know, Christina has been unwell for some time and her and her family have figured regularly in our prayers. She was given the gift of dying peacefully at home in the company of her husband Geoffrey in the early hours of Good Friday.

The family are planning a private cremation for her body, but will commit her to God at a public memorial service on Monday 12th of May from 2 p.m. at St. John’s Brunswick West.

Please pray that family and friends would grieve well, knowing that though life has sorrow,  we also have the sure hope of a better resurrection.

Jesus said to them, ‘Why are your frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet; see that it is I muself. Touch me and see; for a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”

With hope in Jesus Christ,
