Judgment is a topic that most people avoid unless it’s directed at those they believe deserve it. Let’s take a moment to pity our politicians, teachers, employers, industry leaders, and others who are constantly criticised. After all, they’re always wrong! When Jesus hears about two tragic events happening in his time, he responds by saying, ‘Do you think that because they suffered in this way, they were worse sinners than others? No, I tell you, unless you repent, you will all perish as they did.’ In his straightforward manner, Jesus challenges us to confront the reality of our own injustices and the things we can ignore about ourselves. He encourages us to move beyond this avoidance and embrace the lives we were meant to live. Join us for Holy Communion at 10 a.m. on March 23rd as we reflect on these important matters.
