This Wednesday, 5th of March, marks the commencement of Lent in the Christian calendar. Lent is a time of prayer, fasting, giving and preparation that mirrors the 40 days Jesus spent fasting and being tested in the wilderness before he began proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God. We are marking the commencement of Lent with an Ash Wednesday service at 7pm in the church led by Len Firth.
