This reading is an excuse for us to explore what we have learnt from Numbers. When praying the Psalms we can be moved by the idea that the words of God are sweeter than honey, more valuable than gold and wiser than our own thinking – but then we come across a book like Numbers which might leave us feeling, well, numb!
