Mostly, we don’t like to think of God as being distinct or seperate to us. We prefer to think God can be kind of made up as we go along. Made in our image, suiting our felt needs. Numbers tells a very different story where God, like any person, decides who and how we may or may not relate to him. In Numbers we quickly learn that we need mediators, someone to stand before us and God. Someone who knows our story as well as God’s story. Len Firth will be helping us with this theme as we celebrate holy communion at 10am Sunday 12/9.
