Our political lives are shoe-horned into a debate between conservative and progressive values and we, individually, are often defined as belonging at a point along a spectrum between the two political extremes. Paul, in his letter to the Philippians, makes a claim for a third way, the way of grace. He says we need someone from outside our conservative need for significance and progressive need for freedom to save us. In Christ, God gave us a person, not a new system of rules or abstract rights, so that by entrusting ourselves to Christ, we are given the ability to change and grow. Join us for a service of Holy Communion this Sunday 14/7 from 10am as we consider these things.
