We habitually link our suffering with our wrongs as judgment. We have religious and secular systems that reinforce these ideas which, sometimes, are unjustified. In John 9 we see that Jesus came to disconnect our wrongs from our suffering, our judgement. He came to disconnect our identity and future from accusation while dealing with wrong justly. These are themes of Jesus’ healing of the man who was born blind which we will explore in our 10 am communion service this Sunday 10/3.
