In the past few months we have been reflecting on the letter of Paul to the Colossians. At the time of writing Paul was a prisoner, probably in Rome. He encourages his readers to pray, not so much for his release, as that ‘God will open to us a door for the word, that we may declare the mystery of Christ’. We are encouraged to devote ourselves to prayer, that we might conduct ourselves wisely toward outsiders, ‘making the most of the time.’ Let our speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that we may ‘know how you ought to answer everyone.’

This Sunday Len will preach from Colossians 4:2–18 on Devoted to Prayer and Godly Conversations and share some pictures from his 2013 visit to the site of ancient Colossae.
